Rick's 1969 GTO The Judge

Good morning.

My name is Rick Hanson. I sent in a few pictures and videos of my 1969 GTO The Judge. Just a bit of the back story about it.

I have always dreamed of owning a 69 Judge since I was 4 yrs old. 8 years ago in September of 2016 at 34yrs old my dream came true. My dad bought my Judge and said he was going to part it. I told him “but it’s a real Judge! You can’t part it out!” He said that I should just trade him my 69 GTO that I was restoring because it only needed a paint job. I told him “here’s the title!” He picked up my 69 GTO and then we went and picked up The Judge.

I did a full, frame off, rotisserie restoration on the car by myself in my 2 car garage. I completed the full restoration in only a year and a half. I drove the car to the alignment shop for the first time in 2019. I restored the car with original suspension and pontiac motor. It has had a few changes over the last few years. I added a hood tach and hideaway headlights and converted them to electric. I upgraded the M-20 to a Tremec TKX 5spd. I also bought a quite a few parts for the engine from you guys for it. It retains a 69 400 block bored .030, dished forged icon pistons, and a set of factory #48 heads, quadrajet carb on a factory 69 intake and R.A. manifolds with a pypes exhaust system.

I did all the work on the car myself, body, paint and all. There isn’t one nut or bolt on that car I have not touched and that is the truth!

My wife and I have taken our son and daughter on many road trips with it. I built the car to drive it, and we do! We have 18k miles on the car in only 5 years and we live in Minnesota so our season is very limited by snowfall here.

You guys have always been great to me and a great source for information as well. I truly enjoy doing business with you and will definitely be doing more soon! (I bought a 70 Judge last fall that I am restoring now) It’s not a restoration, it’s definitely a resurrection.

Thank you for listening to my story, hope to hear from you!
